"August 27 was MS awareness night at Chase field during the Diamond backs baseball game, Myself and and Jeff Lewis had taken part in this to help bring attention to the up coming MS walk through the pheonix zoo on November 5 that we partake in each year. "At the Mechacon Formal Ball we had to figure out a way to get into the event despite their strict dress code. What better way than to recreated the Courtroom scene from Ghostbusters 2 with suits, ties, sweatervests, and proton packs complete with "Evidence" tags on them! We spent a considerable amount of time in several closets and at several thrift stores in attempt to match the outfits worn by the original 3 Ghostbusters on their infamous court date. This is the result!"

Now, Diamond Select Toys is giving you the chance to recreate that moment in your home with the Ghostbusters “Terror Dog” light-up statue. Here are some in-progress pictures, including the finished Bill Mancuso sculpt, and the great job painter Jason Wires did of capturing the look of the beast. As of this writing, the factory is getting the electronics finalized, but since I was blogging anyway, I thought I’d share a shot of the light-up feature taken for review purposes. Enjoy!
Spook Central: A Google search for "Ghostbusters Birthday Cake" brought back so many results, that I was actually surprised by how many different cakes there were. Since I like to use these images to post on friend's pages for their birthdays, I thought I'd make a collection. Some images have been modified to keep them generic. "Yes, it’s only August, but Hallmark ornaments are already out for purchase at stores. I freely admit that I’m one of the people that’s in the store as soon as I see that cute little Christmas display. I run inside and start checking to see which ones light up and which ones make noise. There is a chance that the folks at my local store see me coming and roll their eyes, because I have to press every button and hear each sound effect and every famous line spoken by the characters I love. A few weeks ago, back at San Diego Comic-Con, Hallmark had a wonderful booth set up with all their latest releases. The coolest part was the sneak peek of ornaments that aren’t due out until Christmas of 2012."
