Ivan Reitman, director of Ghostbusters 3, has revealed Bill Murray has read the script for the sequel, and is keeping his fingers crossed that he will commit to the movie.
Reitman's latest film No Strings Attached, starring Natalie Portman, is released in the UK this week, and confirmed to Digital Spy that Murray has the script for the highly anticipated sequel.
Reitman said, "He's seen it and we're waiting to hear."
He then added, "Fingers crossed!"
Having been in the works for nearly twenty years, fans around the world are eagerly waiting to hear if Murray - who has proven to be the one stumbling block over the years - likes the script, written by co-star Dan Aykroyd with Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, and is willing to join the cast.
