Louisiana Ghostbusters is a fan based Ghostbusters franchise for the purpose of raising money for charity.
"The Louisiana Ghostbusters have posted a PREVIEW PAGE for their upcoming Ghostbusters Fan Film, the Golden Ghost Awards. On that page you can browse preliminary rules for the contest, get a description of the awards to be presented, view a preliminary timeline for the contest and voting, and find answers to some frequently-asked questions about the contest, which will begin on May 16th with a 2-week submissions process for all film-makers who are interested. The Contest was designed to recognize fans who have taken their devotion to the extreme in preparing movies and documentaries about the Ghostbusters franchise, and will also generate money for the American Cancer Society through a small application fee for all contestants. Voting on fan favorite films will take place for 2 weeks at the end of May and will, of course, be open and free to the public through registration via email to mitigate abuse of the system and repeated voting.
