On Saturday, May 7th, 2011, the Arizona Ghostbusters in Phoenix, and the Arizona Ghostbusters: Firehouse 520 in Tucson, participated in Free Comic Book Day events. In Phoenix we hosted a food drive at St.Mary's Food Bank at Samurai Comics. We were aided by members of the local 501st Garrison, Rebel Legion, Arizona Avengers, and Sony's 30ft Stay Puft Balloon. A Thor hammer making contest was also held. It was a very busy day and we met lots of awesome fans. We collected two large boxes of food donations.
In Tucson the team appeared at Heroes & Villains Comic Book Shop and collected donations for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. They were also joined by members of our fellow costuming groups. The Ecto-AZ Truck was also set up for photos.
