Ghostbusters Mania: "Interviews Ghostheads" Paul of the Ghostbusters Philadelphia

Ghostbusters Mania is proud to present N°6 "Interview
with Ghosthead" with Paul of Ghostbusters Philadelphia.

Tell us a bit 'you. Who are you? What are you
doing? Other hobbies or interests?

Well my name is Paul Poole. I'm born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've lived all over the east coast.
My "straight" job would be cheese monger. I work full time cutting and preparing imported specialty cheeses for a large grocery store chain.
My wife Dawn shares my passion, has her own uniform and proton pack and is also a member out the Philly team. We're expecting our first child, a boy, August 31st.
My other hobbies include collecting various other movie and super hero props and collectibles.

How does this passion for Ghostbusters?

Well I was 8 years old in 1984...the perfect age to be sucked into Ghostbusters. My mother had recorded it off of HBO and every day after school I would watch the movie until I eventually wore out the tape. I'd say my three big nerd passions are Ghostbusters, Superman, and all things paranormal (UFO's, Ghosts, Bigfoot, etc). The Ghostbusters are heroes who battle the paranormal. It must have just clicked for 8 year old Paul.

GB: Sweets Ghostbusters: Crunch!

"I'm gonna take back some of the things I said about you, Egon.
[pulls out candy bar] You... You've earned it"

Nestlé Crunch is the name of a Chocolate bar made of milk chocolate with crisped rice mixed in, produced by Nestlé. Its current slogan is, "For the Kid in You." It was first introduced in 1937.
Nestlé has recently discontinued the traditional packaging technique of wrapping the bar in aluminum foil, sleeved inside a paper label, in favor of more conventional packaging practices. The chocolate bar can now commonly be found in a single-ply inner metallised boPET polyester film, typical of convenience foods packaging.

GBNews: Many Rally in Hopes of Saving Ladder 8 'Ghostbusters' Firehouse

More than 100 residents joined local officials and firefighters in front of Ladder 8
on Friday in a last-ditch effort to save the firehouse from closure (photo by CARL GLASSMAN)

With less than a week left to save Tribeca’s “Ghostbusters” firehouse, more than 100 firefighters, residents and local officials rallied on Friday morning in front of the iconic building at North Moore and Varick streets. And echoing the 1984 film’s theme song, local officials knew just who they want residents to call: 311.

Firefighters and community leaders urged neighbors to flood the city’s helpline in an 11th hour attempt to save the firehouse, one of 20 on Mayor Bloomberg’s budget slashing hit list.

Firefighters and residents say the company is essential forneighborhood safety.  continue on http://www.tribecatrib.com

Ghostbusters Mania: "Interviews Ghostheads" Todd the Canada Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters Mania is proud to present N° 4"Interview
with Ghosthead" with Todd of Ghostbusters Canada (BC).

We salute Todd's great passion.

Todd, tell us a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you doing? Other hobbies or interests?

I am Todd Whalen, I admin the website Ghostbusters Canada http://www.ghostbusterscanada.ca/  and in addition to being a Ghostbusting enthusiast I'm a Dockhand for a Seaplane Company and an Amateur Filmmaker.  When I'm not doing that, I'm usually spending time with my wife or training at the gym.  I'm a film nut too, so anytime I can go out to movies or have a quiet night in with a DVD is a good time had by all.

Where did you love for Ghostbusters come from?

I first saw Ghostbusters when I was about five.  I was intrigued, excited and terrified.  I loved the science and mystery of it right away but it was Ray Stantz that had me hooked.  The enthusiasm, the excitement, all of that I just gravitated towards right away.  As a little five year old kid I loved it so much that I would go so far as to introduce myself to other kids my age as if my name was Ray Stantz.  I followed the cartoon, the sequel, I had all the toys.  I fell in love with it again while I was in film school two years ago and gained a whole new appreciation for just how well put together Ghostbusters is as a film.

Spook Central: IDW Ghostbusters Monthly Comic #1 Solicitation & Covers

IDW just sent along the following solicitation, cover images, and preview pages for the Ghostbusters monthly comic series, issue #1, which comes out in September. As usual, IDW doesn't have much faith in the Ghostbusters brand, so they're putting out, if I'm reading it all correctly, a total of FIVE COVERS! Two regular covers and three variants, one of which will be a glow-in-the-dark version of (presumably) the Dan Schoening variant cover image... continue on Spook Central...

Ghostbusters Mania: "Interviews Ghostheads" Ben the Louisiana Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters Mania is proud to present N° 3 "Interview to Ghosthead" featuring Ben Langlinais of the Louisiana Ghostbusters

Congratulations to Ben for his great passion!

Ben, tell us a bit  about you. Who are you? What are you doing? Other hobbies or interests?

Hi Max!  It's always great to do things with GB Mania.  What you do is simply amazing.  You should get your own Ghostie award!

I'm a cajun husband and dad in deep south Louisiana, home of the best food and air conditioners on the planet. This is a special little pocket of unique culture in the world with strong french heritage that runs back to the exile of the Acadians from Nova Scotia in the 18th century.

I spent most of my career after school working in the television industry in New York City, Houston, and now back home in Louisiana, though I've left the life of TV behind.  I'm now working to get my license to practice the family business of Land Surveying and take over for my dad.

I like killing time with my wife and little Ghosthead son, running, playing and listening to music, gaming, building and fixing things, and I especially like bringing smiles to people's faces with my brothers and sisters in the Louisiana Ghostbusters.

Ghostbusters Mania:"Interviews Ghostheads" Cory the Arizona Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters Mania is proud to present N° 2 "Interview with Ghosthead" Cory Alexander, a Captain with the Arizona Ghostbusters

Cory, tell us a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you doing? Other hobbies or interests?

My name is Cory Alexander, and I'm a Captain with the Arizona Ghostbusters - Firehouse 520 (covering Tucson and southeast Arizona). My normal job is managing a manufacturing plant in the small town of Willcox. I'm married, and we have two children. My wife and I are both gamers and kind of geeky, and we have a history of volunteering. When I learned of the Arizona Ghostbusters, I decided I could apply my love of the Ghostbusters license to my volunteering to help support good causes while having fun and meeting interesting people. In my free time, I enjoy classic arcade, pinball and console games, Xbox360, PC games, and building projects (props, household projects, etc.). Prop building has always been a desire of mine, but I've only really started doing it seriously in the last few years.

Where did you love for Ghostbusters come from?

I fell in love with Ghostbusters when I was 9. My dad took me and my sister to see the film in theaters when it was released back in 1984. I've been a huge fan ever since. I collect anything related to Ghostbusters. I still have all my RGB toys, games, trading cards, etc.

Ghostbusters Mania is proud to present "Interviews
with Ghostheads" with Vincent of the Southern California Ghostbusters.

We salute Vincent's great passion.

Vincent, tell us a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you doing? Other hobbies or interests?

Hello, thank you for having me. I'm originally from NY (the home of the Ghostbusters) and I'm currently living in San Diego. I work as a programmer and in my off-time I like to do a little gaming or work on building all kinds of movie props. I spend a lot of time on the internet too (probably more than I should admit to).

Where did you love for Ghostbusters come from?

I've always loved the Ghostbusters franchise, it was something that became a part of my life very early on and I've been a fan for as long as I can remember. I first saw Ghostbusters on VHS, I was born in '82 so I was a bit young when it was in theaters, but I watched that tape so many times that it eventually stopped working.
I loved the animated series and I had all the figures and collectibles. I got to see GB2 in the theater when I was about 7 years old.
