Fans: Golden Ghost Awards - The First Ghostbusters Fan Film Contest
Below you’ll find links to the 2012 contestants’ Ghostbusters Fan films and a least of the categories each is competing in.
Our Nine Judges are asked to view each film, then picked their favorites for each category! Stop by the first week of August or visit LAGB’s Facebook Page to get the results and see who takes home the Golden Ghost!

Ghostbusters Mania is proud to present a small but special interview. Her name is Vanessa and has 22 years old is known in the Ghostbusters community for its awesome fan art.
Tell us about you. Who are you? What do you do? Do you have other hobbies?
My Name is Vanessa and I live near Frankfurt in Germany. Drawing and painting is definitely my biggest hobby. Besides that I also like photography and videogames.
How was born the passion for GB?
I watched GB the first time when I was around 5 I think, and loved it ever since.

I like to draw in different ways and try around a lot. I use digital coloration als well as drawing or painting traditionally. I use Photoshop and Painttool SAI for PC.

Fans: June 8 will celebrate 28 years of Ghostbusters!
In the coming days there is an air of celebration for fans of Ghostbusters. On June 8th, 1984, the film was distributed in the U.S. to its beloved fans. Ghostbusters Mania is celebrating by making a commemorative poster that starting Friday will be available for fans to download. A special birthday tribute graphic to recognize the release of Ghostbusters in America!

The Museum of Natural History is pleased to host Out of This World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television. The exhibition will be on view May 18 through August 26.
Out of This World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television will feature more than 40 costumes and related objects from science fiction films and television programs such as, Star Wars, Blade Runner, Terminator, Star Trek, Batman and more. The exhibition will allow visitors to examine how costume design incorporates colour, style, scale, materials, historical traditions nature and cultural cues to help performers and audiences engage, in new or accepted ways, with the characters being portrayed.

GBMania Exclusive: Article by Angela Williams of "Minions of Gozer"!
GBMania is honored to publish the article by Angela Williams (Producer, Creator, Ensemble Minions of Gozer). Angela tells us about two shows on March 23rd & 24th have been a great success.
Last weekend the Minions of Gozer, a Live Ghostbusters Shadowcast (think the Rocky Horror Picture Show meets the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man) returned to the IFC Center in New York City's West Village for a second run of our midnight show. Having sold out our opening weekend at the IFC back in November of 2011, we were extremely excited to return for another two shows on March 23rd & 24th. We packed the house on Friday night and sold out our third show ever on Saturday. If the audience had half as much fun as we did, then we gave them a night to remember!
